Landis Maitland-Whitelaw-The Sandal March

This piece of music was written from a call for composition. It was for Brass Band 2001. I was asked to arrange it for the Harmony Band that I played in and subsequently it was played twice with me at the baton for the first time in 2002. This version is for orchestra. Most marches have a very urban in your face feel to them. The Sandal March has a very soft feel to it, as if you are with a group of Boy Scouts who like to fool around. You can hear a representation of it here on SoundCloud.

The notation for this piece is available to purchase at $2.00 / page.
